Session Times

Full Day - 8am to 6pm

£66 per session – Available Monday-Friday

Half Day: 8am-1pm / 1pm-6pm

£33.00 per session

We are open every day of the year except for 2 weeks over the festive season between Christmas and New Year, on or before 24th December until on or around 5th January (depending on when the bank holidays fall).

Please note that you are always billed over a 50-week year as we allow for the 10 days of nursery closure as outlined above.

Nursery Fees

The monthly nursery fees are dependent on your child’s attendance pattern. Our rate is on a daily session rate. Monthly fees are then calculated by multiplying weekly rates by 50 weeks and dividing by 12. (The fees are from 1st August 2025 and are reviewed yearly).

Nursery fees are inclusive of snacks and meals but do not include nappies, wipes or creams.  We accept childcare vouchers or payments from the tax-free childcare scheme.

Funding

Camperdown Nursery is proud to be in partnership with East Lothian Council, offering funded early learning and childcare for eligible families.

From the term after your child’s third birthday, you are entitled to receive up to 1140 hours of funded childcare and education per year (pro rata), at no cost to you.  All funded hours are completely free of charge. If you require additional hours beyond your entitlement, these will be billed monthly in line with our standard nursery rates.  If you have any questions about funding options or availability, please don’t hesitate to get in touch — we’re happy to help guide you through the process.  We offer flexible access to these hours through a choice of half-day or full-day sessions, available over two models:

50-Week Model (Full Year)

22.8 funded hours per week, over 50 weeks (excluding our 10-day festive closure).  You can use up to 20 hours weekly through a combination of full days (10 hours) and/or morning or afternoon sessions (5 hours each).  The remaining 2.8 hours can then be added to extend other sessions or accumulated and used for ad-hoc half or full days, subject to availability.

38-Week Model (Term Time Only)

30 funded hours per week, over 38 weeks (aligned with the school term calendar).  Hours can be used through a mix of full days (10 hours) and/or morning or afternoon sessions (5 hours each).

Split Placements

It may be possible to split funded hours between two settings. This must be agreed in advance by both settings and coordinated with East Lothian Council.

Eligible 2 Year Olds

Your 2-year-old may also be able to access funding if either you or your child have experience of care or you get certain benefits.  Applications for eligible 2 funding must be made to East Lothian Council direct.
